Company History

1965 Established in Konan, Aichi, Japan. The company was named Konan Tokushu Kogyo.
Built a plant in Konan and produced metal parts for Buddhist altar.
1966 Started leather wrapping business.
1967 Equipped copper and nickel electroforming tanks and launched a study of electroforming technologies.
1969 Started building tools for plastic molding.
1975 Institutionalized as Konan Tokushu Sangyo Co., Ltd.
1982 Successfully developed Porous Nickel.
Established mold fabrications division in Inuyama Plant.
1989 Established Sayama Sales Office in Sayama, Saitama.
Established joint venture company, CANADA MOLD TECHNOLOGY in Canada.
1990 Renewed Headquarters, Konan Plant.
1991 Expended Inuyama Plant, West Facility.
1992 Developed mesh electroforming and perforated electroforming.
1993 Licensed Porous Electroforming technology to GALVANOFORM in Germany.
1994 Established additional facility for stamping molding in Inuyama Plant
1995 Developed Super Porous Electroforming technology.
1997 Syama Sales Office moved to Wako Sales Office.
1999 Developed Dual Axis Rotational Molding System, “GYRO SPACE” and launched the sale.
2000 Established Precision Division, new facility in Konan Plant.
2002 Established KTX America Inc. in the USA.
Expanded Inuyama Plant.
2003 Headquarters, Konan Plant and Inuyama Plant, Precision Division acquired ISO 9001.
2004 Established joint venture company, VUTEQ MONGOL CO., LTD. in Mongolia.
Established KTX Thai Co., Ltd.
Certified as MADE IN NAGOYA brand.
Certified as Aichi Quality Company.
Established KTX-Mold Korea Co., Ltd.
2005 Awarded The Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award Special Prize.
2006 Certified as “300 of Japan’s Vibrant Monozukuri (Manufacturing)
SMEs” hosted by Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, METI.
2007 Awarded outstanding performance award in the New Business Awards hosted
by the Chubu Economic Federation.
2010 Earned Sokeizai Industry Technology Award for MPM method.
Developed Technology: Electroformed Tooling for Plastic Molding Which Enables Flash
Heating and Rapid Cooling.
Opened Shanghai Office.
